Welcome

My name is Suzanne Thompson and I am a portrait photographer located in Mexico Beach. Ever since I was a child I wanted to take pictures. It is my goal to capture moments for you to cherish in years to come. My style is very very relaxed and casual. I don't like to be rushed and enjoy taking my time with each of my clients, getting to know them and their style. I enjoy capturing families, children and couples.

A bit about myself and my family. . . I am married to a wonderful man for 14 years now. Tim is a firefighter and just got back from his second year in Iraq. Military families are my specialty and I enjoy and take pride in capturing pictures of service men & women and their families.

I have three beautiful children - Ashley age 9, Tommy age 6 and Cailin Anne age 3. You might catch my oldest Ashley on a photo shoot from time to time and she is very interested in learning more about photography.

It is my pleasure to be able to share your family memories with you! Thank You for that honor! See you at the beach!

Where have I been???

I’ve gotten a few emails and phone calls lately wondering where I am.  I had one client even call me thinking I was no longer taking pictures.

So, what have I been up to lately?  Photo shoots, family and more family!  I’ve been trying to enjoy these last few weeks of summer vacation with my kids.

I have a ton of pictures to post.  I have so many neat stories to share!  So many fun families!

I have finally finished my Christmas Designs for 2008.  So be checking back this week to see those!  I will also let you in on something . . . I will be running a sale during Labor Day weekend on Holiday Cards. . . hint hint. …

And finally, I just wanted to thank all my clients for such a wonderful summer!  I have been to some neat places in the Panhandle.  I’ve had clients as close as Panama City and as far away as Nebraska.  How cool is that!

So with that said, it is back to work proofing some more sessions.  The rest of this month is very busy for me.  I have two wedding next Saturday, another one the following Saturday and a ton of beach photo sessions in between!  Life will get back into a nice pace, with the kids back in school and work slowing down a bit!  I am kind of excited to be able to finally catch my breath!

On Vacation!!!

Yeah!!! 

I am escaping!  Time to spend some fun time with the kids and hubby!  So looking forward to walking over to the beach, the swimming pool, the movies, shopping, whatever!!!!  I am ready!  I so need a break before the second wind of my season begins!!

Just an FYI . . .  I am totally booked for Saturday weddings in August.  I do have room for some small beach weddings during the week. 

Portrait sessions are filling up fast for the month of August!  I only have a few select dates available.  So if you were planning on a trip down here and want pictures, please book now!

I will be available via email this week.  I do have a few orders I am waiting on the brown truck to arrive.  I will send them out when they come in.

A neat view from the beach

I had the opportunity to do a family session over at Cape San Blas last month.  The beach was so cooooool!!!  It looked like some long deserted island - palm trees fallen, no footprints, totally natural Florida.  The neat part about this beach was the lighthouse.  I love lighthouses!! 

Grabbed a few pictures of the lighthouse - will go back for sure to play!  I can see some fun pictures with my medium format camera!!!

Christmas In July

Christmas?  Already? 

I know.  I know.  I have started to work on this years Holiday Cards.  I am going to offer two different sets this year for my clients.  The first set will be a more tradition type of card style.  The second set will be a beachy theme.  They will be perfect to use with your beach photos. 

I hope to have a preview sometime this week.  As soon as I am done proofing two more seesions, I promise to post a sneak peak.  When the sneak peak is posted, the first client to preorder a set will receive 24 cards free.

Another Beach Session . . .

I get an email a few weeks back from a lady inquiring about booking a session.  In her email she asks about what to wear.  She asks me about a dress policy - basically asking is it ok if they DON’T wear the typical khaki and white that are seen so much in beach pictures.  I knew right then that they were going to be fun clients.

Let me tell you - it was a pleasure to meet this family from Kentucky!  Very laid back and fun!  They told me why get pictures in clothes that you would never wear normally - we want pictures that are us!   I totally agree!

I had a blast meeting this family!  I am almost done proofing your pictures but wanted to give you a quick sneaky peak.  Enjoy!

Cute Alabama Family

I don’t get many sessions over at Panama City Beach, but I had the honor of meeting the Drolet Family from Alabama last Sunday.  What a charming family!  The two girls were as cute as a button!  I really enjoyed their family and taking pictures of their girls!

A bit behind

Ok, I know a few of you keep checking my blog waiting for a sneak peak of your photos, hang in there  . . . I’ve done 9 sessions in the last two weeks and a wedding.  Needless to say I am a bit behind.  I have another session tomorrow and then I am free for a few days.  So hang in there and I will get a sneak peak posted and your pictures up online!

I PROMISE to be stuck in front of my computer to get through all my sessions and post some sneak peaks as well as upload to your gallery.  And YES, offers of cookie dough and Pepsi will get your pictures done faster.  Just kidding, although I do love some cookie dough. . .    :o)

Also, please let me know what you think of the new ordering system.  Is it easy?  Is it confusing?  I switched to another company because I felt that my last ordering system was too confusing for my clients to order correctly.

Ok, better run!  Got editing to do. . .

By the way, just to let you know that I will be visiting my home of Orlando at the end of this month.  So all orders placed before the 21st will be shipped before I leave for a quick vacation!  Anything that comes in after that will not ship until I get home July 31st unless it is a rush order.
